Today, I am honored to share a poetic and prose tribute dedicated to the brave children of Palestine, who bear the heavy burden of war with unmatched courage. About the Poem “War’s Grief”
I wrote it to delve into the somber reality of war in Palestine, capturing the profound impact of conflict on human lives.
It paints a poignant picture of a society grappling with the presence of death, described metaphorically as holding hands with war. The imagery is striking, portraying war not as an active participant, but as an inevitable, unwelcome guest that arrives belatedly.
The repetition of the line “We clasp the hand of sorrow” emphasizes the reluctant acceptance of this tragic fate, while the imagery of a futile road and a nation searching for collective sorrow conveys a sense of hopelessness and despair.
The poem captures the universal themes of grief and loss, highlighting the cyclical nature of human suffering during times of war.
